Everything about the remodeling business is personal. Where we work isn’t just a job site, we understand that it’s also your home.

At Harth Builders, we’ve always put an emphasis on maintaining clean, safe workspaces. But as we all navigate through the phases of the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognize that there are added layers of concern — even about having people in your home.

We understand.

That’s why we’ve created new site sanitation procedures, over and above what we’ve always done to keep you, as well as our team members and trade partners, as safe as possible.

Social Distancing and PPE

Our crews will adhere to all social distancing guidelines on the job site. To that end, we are limiting the number of individuals on any job site at any one time.

We are providing and stocking N-95 masks, shoe covers, gloves, and other personal protection equipment (PPE) to every worker on site. Masks are to be worn throughout the day, and gloves and shoe covers are required if anyone has to access other parts of the home, like the basement.

On-Site Protections

When our team is in a client’s home, they will install plastic walls held up by poles to cordon off the work area to keep non-workers out while clearly designating the work zone. Hand-washing stations with running water are at each site, and workers are instructed to wash hands frequently throughout the day, including when they return from being at another location. To keep trips to a minimum, we are encouraging everyone to bring their lunches instead of going out.

Crucially, no workers will be in your home if they are feeling sick. If they begin to feel ill during the workday, they are to immediately go home. This includes members of the Harth team as well as any of our trade partners.

At the End of Each Day

While we always strive to leave a clean worksite at the end of the day, we are also taking extra steps now. At the end of the day, Harth team members will “wipe their way out” of the work zone. This will focus on sanitizing high-touch surfaces like doorknobs, light switches, and restrooms. All PPE will be disposed of safely and properly at the end of the day, the wastewater in the hands washing stations will be disposed of, and the safety board holding all PPE will be restocked for use the next day.

Thank You for Entrusting Your Home Remodel to Harth Builders

While living through a remodel can be stressful even in normal times, the uncertainty of the pandemic only adds to it. We at Harth Builders always go over and above the basics to make the experience as easy and stress-free as possible. These extra measures we’re taking will ensure the health and safety of our clients, our team members, and our trade partners. We hope it also adds a measure of peace of mind.

As always, we appreciate the trust you have placed in us to maintain your safety while we work to make your home your favorite place.
