At the outset of the COVID-19 crisis, Governor Wolf initially classified residential construction as non-essential. As a result, we had to place our construction projects on hold and furlough some of our production team. Although we had to close our office, many of our team members continued to work remotely to move projects through design and construction planning. We are pleased to announce that as of May 1, we were given the go-ahead to resume construction projects on-site for our clients. Although the office remains closed, all of our production team members were reactivated and we are in the process of rebuilding our construction schedules.
While we are excited to have the entire team back in action, we have implemented new safety protocols for keeping everyone safe on job sites. In addition to the stringent cleaning we do at the end of each day, we will also be following CDC guidelines for social distancing.
You can also count on us to:
- Ask you if elderly or vulnerable persons are on site so that we can take extra precautions where possible
- Sanitize our hands thoroughly before walking through your door
- Actively seek to limit the number of workers to reduce exposure potentials. Ex: If we would normally use three painters, we will look to limit that to one
- Stay home when sick, with a fever, or with a known exposure, and never knowingly compromise your health in any way
It goes without saying that we hope you will return the courtesy to our team members. Please let us know if anyone in your household is ill with a fever, shortness of breath, or has been exposed to or tested positive for COVID-19. We will pause the project.
We would like to thank all of our current construction clients for your patience and understanding during this challenging time. We look forward to resuming work on your projects and safely helping to make your home your favorite place.
For anyone who has been thinking of initiating a new project, we are conducting initial consultations remotely by video conference. We have found these virtual consultations to be an effective and safe way to initiate work. Please contact us using our website form, or by phone at 215-654-0364 to start a “virtual” conversation.
