This Harleysville farmhouse was originally built in the early 1800’s! Our clients came to us in need of remodeling different aspects of the home to accommodate their lifestyle and aesthetic. Keeping true to the roots of the historic home, we wanted to design in elements that complimented the original style. Gorgeous varying widths are displayed in the wide plank wood flooring. Exposed stone is highlighted throughout and peeking through glass cabinetry accents in the Kitchen. Soapstone countertops were selected and also incorporated in the sinks and backsplash. This material really makes the timeless cream cabinetry truly shine!
Along with the first floor re-design, we also incorporated an in-law suite into this home. The new suite includes a living space, bedroom, full bath and laundry. In order to incorporate the existing stone as an accent in their shower, we installed a full height glass panel in front of it. The zero threshold shower entrance makes entering and existing the shower effortless. The new bedroom also features a vaulted ceiling with exposed original wood beams. We are in awe of this transformation!
