Our clients have a gorgeous older stone home in the heart of Mount Airy, Philadelphia. Previously, their kitchen and dining were two separate rooms making the kitchen feel isolated and closed off. By removing the dividing structural wall, we opened up the kitchen, but still kept the spaces true to the quaint characteristics of the existing home. Now both rooms feel combined but maintain distinct purposes. The renovated kitchen has ample counter and storage space and even includes a full designated coffee station. In the dining room, we added new cabinetry to mimic a traditional hutch used for drop zone storage, sentimental family china and platter display, and an in-home secretary. These new spaces present traditional elements with industrial accents and we are in love with the final result!
