Father’s Day is here and we are all wondering, what do we do for the men in our lives who repeatedly tell us that they don’t want anything? Why don’t we think about the things we are constantly asking of those men, and find a way to set them free from those demands?
How many times have you asked your husband to take care of some random painting, adjusting doors, changing light bulbs, fixing the toilet flush valve, or switching out the cabinet knobs? We’re sure that list can continue on and on and on! These things will inevitably never get done, no matter how many times the love of your life promises that they will. Let’s be honest, there are just too many other pressing things for him to attend to.
Being the eternal optimist, our Design-Build Consultant Chris Lux always looks for the silver lining. You may have a ton of things around the house that feel as if they have been ignored, but don’t worry, there’s hope!
The best thing you can do for your husband this Father’s Day may very well be to spend some money on yourself! Just imagine if you told that lovely, hard working man that the “Honey Please Do” list is all taken care of. He can spend his next few weekends having a few adult beverages and throwing a baseball around with the kids.
