Our client, a young Lower Gwynedd family of five, has a historic home that likely underwent several additions resulting in a hall stairwell with multiple landings. Straightening the three-story stairwell, for safety and aesthetics, was the impetus of this project and led to numerous other remodeling improvements. The primary bedroom was updated with the addition of beautiful full-height cabinetry flanking one wall and a new ensuite bath that includes a large soaking tub, two sink vanity, tiled shower, water closet, and cabinetry storage. The hall bath was relocated, with new fixtures and layout, allowing for a new second-floor laundry room and an ensuite bath for the youngest child. An updated 3rd-floor guest bath and structural work in the basement and to the front porch beams were also included in the project scope. Contemporary plumbing fixtures and bath tiles, along with innovative wallpaper patterns and paint selections, compliment the uniqueness of the renovated home and bring it a fresh new feel.
