Our Lower Gwynedd client was seeking many things – additional garage space, a pool cabana, powder room for easy outdoor access, gym space above the garage, and extra storage – not a short list! But, all of this was accomplished with a multi-purpose detached 2 car garage. The new two-story structure was appropriately sited to comply with required setbacks as well as convenient adjacency to the existing home, pool, and driveway. For the pool cabana, Hardie Board and Batten siding were added, both painted in a greige tone for warmth. The tray ceiling is accented with stained tongue and groove planks. The outdoor bar cabinets are in a weathered wood finish to add interest and the floor design completes the space through a stamped concrete pattern. The powder room has a patterned floor tile that is complimented by a white oak vanity and beautiful green walls. The cabana is a welcoming and cozy outdoor space that feels like you’ve stepped into an interior room. This robust home addition offers numerous uses for an active family that enjoys outdoor recreation together.
