Our New Hope clients approached us seeking an updated kitchen along with a more open foyer and functional entertaining spaces. With proven success in entire home renovations, Harth proposed a relocation of their entry stair allowing better visibility to the living room beyond and the reduction of a full-height wall to partial-height between the living room and kitchen for increased communication, circulation and sharing of daylight.
European French oak flooring throughout the first floor provides seamless connection between rooms and compliments their beautiful new inset cabinetry, a rich combination of white and walnut wood tones with satin brass hardware. Features of their expansive new kitchen include a 10-foot island with seating, Taj Mahal quartzite counters, a 48” duel fuel range, two paneled dishwashers, built-in bench seating, large windows with counter-height sills, and a custom 54” wide walnut hood with satin brass banding.
The existing laundry room was relocated to the second floor and the space transformed into a Bulter’s Pantry and Mudroom. Deep green mudroom cabinetry and bench seating are accented with a contemporary evergreen tree scene wallpaper that perfectly marries aesthetics with this now highly functional space that flows well from the kitchen.
An under-utilized primary bedroom foyer became the location of the new second floor laundry room and now features blue and white cabinetry with a wall of built-in storage, spacious quartz counters with large capacity front load appliances, and a generous size sink. The first floor renovation included an updated powder room in a striking palette of black, white and gray complimented by a freestanding vanity and hexagon honeycomb pattern floor tile. Our clients have an exceptionally transformed new home to enjoy as a family and with guests for many years to come!
