Our Rydal clients came to us looking to upgrade their existing sunroom. The space was a previous addition attached to their gorgeous older stone home. Although conditioned, it went unused due to lack of safety, appearance, and function. Our clients already had an inground pool and wanted an outdoor living space to better host friends and family during not only the summer seasons but for spring and fall as well. We designed a new cabana for them that includes a wet bar, an island with seating, raised bar seating closer to the pool, and a built-in fireplace! Plenty of beverage space is available with two beverage refrigerators and an ice machine to keep drinks cool. Teal outdoor cabinets and soapstone counters pop off of the black and white checkered concrete floor. To warm the elements up, we added a stained wood plank ceiling and installed suspended pendants over the island as the main focal point. In the cooler months, our clients can now warm up by the double-sided fireplace. Perfect ambiance exists inside within the cabana and outside at the Adirondack chairs. New exterior lighting amplifies the project’s beauty especially after dark and during a night swim!
