Our Ambler clients were seeking a complete remodel of their primary bath. The existing layout dedicated too much space to the rarely used large, jetted tub and yet lacked sufficient vanity countertop and linen storage. While the bath itself had windows with ample natural light, the existing shower and water closet were in a small, dark windowless room. Harth’s team listened intently and completely transformed the space with an efficient new layout and a calm, beautiful aesthetic that far exceeds our clients’ goals!

The size of the shower was increased and it was relocated to a corner of the bath to capture natural light. Half-height walls with frameless glass enable additional light into the shower while providing desired privacy. A new tiled bench with shaving niche and toiletries niche is conveniently located yet discreetly hidden from most site lines outside the shower. An eye-catching wall of vanity cabinets was introduced to one side of the bath allowing for an open floor plan that maximizes both the existing corner of windows and the skylight location. Paired vanity sinks with satin brass framed mirrors and cabinetry hardware, an integrated lowered makeup counter, and ample storage cabinetry with light maple wood and crisp white counters provide exceptional functionality and beauty. For cost savings, the toilet rough-in was maintained while the overall size of the toilet room was reduced. The adjacent walk-in closet received a convenient barn door with built-in full-height mirror that reflects additional light around the room. Hexagonal floor tile in a light, muted pattern beautifully complements the new cabinetry and counters while a combination of dove gray horizontal wall tile with a subdued teal vertical accent tile in the shower gives a soft yet fresh pop of color. This new bath offers a serene, spa-like feel throughout and is a perfect environment to start or end one’s day!
