Separated by a load-bearing wall, the cramped, u-shaped room was difficult to navigate with kids and pets for this growing family of six. We decided to open up the room by removing the dividing wall between the kitchen and dining room for better flow and wider pathways. Next, we incorporated the existing dining nook into the new kitchen’s footprint. A table attached to the new island gives the family space to eat and gather, and a beverage station and appliance garage helps keep key zones organized. With white cabinetry, blue accents, and farmhouse-inspired touches, the new space blends beautifully with the history of the home—a perfect combination of traditional charm and modern convenience.

We were thrilled to complete the tenth project for these Malvern homeowners, who were looking to create cohesion with a sleek and modern design throughout their house. While keeping all of the plumbing in its original place, we found a way to incorporate a new freestanding tub in the expanded shower for a unique—and incredibly functional—wet room feel.
Later, we upgraded their kitchen with new counters, crisp backsplash tile, and striking molding to make that modern aesthetic pop.
