Huntingdon Valley Custom Home

Our Huntingdon Valley client came to us with a heavily wooded, undeveloped lot needing civil engineering and preliminary house plans requiring extensive revisions to fit their family’s needs and desires. Careful assessment was made of the land’s topography and site conditions to position the home and best address grading, drainage, utility connections, and road access.

What resulted is an impressive, five-bedroom 6,400 SF custom home featuring an eye-catching covered entry with a 9-foot front door and sidelites, two-story stairway windows, attached and detached garages, a breezeway, and an expansive patio with an automated pergola. An innovative, open concept design marries interior space with exterior via the striking five panel, 18 foot wide stacking glass door that opens from the living space to the rear patio. This feature not only increases light throughout the first floor, it maximizes entertaining space for family events and holiday gatherings. Above the rear patio, the primary bedroom features a large walk-out balcony with contemporary glass railing.

Exterior features include smooth stucco finish, boral stained window headers, tall casement windows, and a stained Douglas fir porch, breezeway columns, and pine V-groove ceilings. The roofing system offers an attractive balance of black metal standing seam with high-definition asphalt shingles. The home beautifully captures the style of a California modern farmhouse down to the custom design of the stained black and white patterned concrete driveway.
