Our Telford clients sought Harth’s expertise for a second-floor remodel following a recent health diagnosis. The wife was having mobility issues and needed changes to the primary bath, bedroom, and closet. We revised the bath layout to add a walk-in tub/shower combo so she had both options depending on her abilities each day and a beautiful sit-down vanity area for ease with makeup and hair.
We kept the palette light and airy to create a nice, soothing atmosphere. A spare bedroom was converted into a luxurious walk-in closet with ample clothing storage that included down lighting, light-up clothing rods, and an elevator to the first floor. Closet lights were motion-sensors to illuminate the space when she entered. The slim profile elevator tucked in nicely to a corner to conserve valuable closet space. Beautiful engineered hardwood floors were added throughout the second floor. The hall bath was completely remodeled with a full shower and new vanity and included crisp, clean finishes accentuated with a full-height penny tile backsplash.
Along with the second-floor remodel, we also replaced their stair railing with a beautiful pattern of wrought iron black balusters and stained wood newel posts. Now, as you enter through their new front door with ADA-compliant push/pull hardware, you experience an eye-catching, grand entrance. Going forward they can enjoy their home for many more years with much-improved function, needed flexibility, and exquisite aesthetics!
