As we prepare to celebrate Harth Builders’ 30th anniversary in 2026, I find myself reflecting on what an incredible year 2025 has been. Our team earned a series of awards at the national and regional level, each recognizing the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication we bring to every project.
What makes these awards especially meaningful to me is that they highlight very different kinds of work—each with its own challenges and rewards.
In Chestnut Hill, we restored a deteriorating Victorian porch on an 1880s home. The project required us to preserve historic detailing—like turned posts and decorative frieze boards—while rebuilding the foundation and improving functionality. It was as much about honoring the past as it was about making the porch usable for the future.
In Wyndmoor, we reimagined the kitchen and first floor of a 1920s manor. The original kitchen was designed for staff and felt disconnected from the rest of the home. By opening up narrow corridors, creating arched doorways, and building a new family-centered kitchen with a large island and custom stucco hood, we transformed the space into the true heart of the home.
And in Ambler, we tackled a complete exterior transformation of a dated stucco home. The project involved nearly every part of the property—new Hardie Board siding, metal standing seam roofing, expanded garage bays, a new cabana, and stone patios surrounding a pool. The result is a home that feels both modern and timeless, and a stunning evolution from the generic façade we started with.
In addition to these project-specific awards, we were honored with the Chrysalis “Decade of Excellence” Award, which recognizes companies that have earned Chrysalis honors in ten or more separate years. We also moved up in Qualified Remodeler’s Top 500 list and earned recognition from the Philadelphia Business Journal for our growth as one of the region’s largest private and family-owned businesses.
These awards are also bittersweet. In September, we lost my father, Allyn Harth, who founded Harth Builders nearly 30 years ago. Every project we complete, and every recognition we receive, is part of the vision and values he instilled in this company. As we prepare for our 30th anniversary, I see these awards as a fitting tribute to the legacy he created.
I am so proud of our team and the recognition they’ve received this year. These awards aren’t just about the finished projects—they’re about the skill, creativity, and perseverance that go into solving complex design challenges and exceeding our clients’ expectations.
As we approach our 30th anniversary, I’m excited about the future and grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey—our clients, our partners, and most importantly, the talented professionals who make up the Harth Builders family.
